Tenable Appoints Matthew Brown As CFO

Tenable has appointed Matthew Brown as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Steve Vintz, who recently assumed the role of Co-CEO alongside Mark Thurmond.

Brown, a seasoned finance leader, brings over 20 years of experience across top technology firms. He most recently served as CFO of Altair Engineering, where he steered strategic growth, doubled software revenue, expanded margins, and led its $10.7 billion sale to Siemens. His earlier career includes leadership roles at NortonLifeLock, Symantec, Blue Coat, Brocade, NETGEAR, and KPMG.

“Matt brings a proven track record of scaling global technology businesses, delivering operational efficiency, and driving shareholder value,” said Steve Vintz, Co-CEO of Tenable.

Brown said he is “energised” to pair Tenable’s market leadership with bold financial strategy to propel the company’s next chapter of growth.
