SAS named a Leader in worldwide decision intelligence platforms

SAS has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Decision Intelligence Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment*.

SAS Intelligent Decisioning is a cloud-native, cloud-agnostic platform built on flagship SAS Viya. It combines data, AI models, business rules and analytics into governed decision flows that can be deployed and continuously approved at enterprise scale. Its decision capabilities can be deployed across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments with the same centralised governance and decision logic.

The IDC MarketScape highlighted the following strengths:

1.    Hybrid decisioning architecture: SAS enables hybrid decisioning that combines deterministic rules, predictive and prescriptive models and generative AI within one governed flow, letting the same logic run in subsecond real time or high-volume batch without duplicate coding.

2.    Governance and explainability: The platform’s governance layer includes end-to-end data-to-decision lineage, versioned audit trails, and model cards documenting bias and sensitivity analysis, giving regulated organisations documentation readily available for compliance review.

3.    Entity resolution and graph analytics: Native entity resolution and graph-based network analysis, developed for financial crime and fraud use cases, allow relationship data to be incorporated directly into decision logic without external tooling.
