Luminous Power Technologies Appoints Vivek Abrol As MD & CEO

Luminous Power Technologies has unveiled the appointment of Vivek Abrol as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 19 January 2026.

In his new role, Abrol will be responsible for leading Luminous into its next growth phase, with a strong emphasis on profitability and transformation. His mandate includes steering the company’s evolution into a holistic consumer energy solutions provider, expanding its solar and sustainable energy portfolio, reinforcing leadership in the inverter and battery segments, and investing in next-generation technologies.

The company stated that Abrol will also focus on strengthening innovation, driving a digital-first approach, and building an agile and inclusive organisation aimed at delivering enhanced customer value and operational excellence.

Vivek Abrol takes over from Preeti Bajaj, who will be moving to Luminous’ parent company, Schneider Electric, where she will take on the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) and lead the Global Home Solutions Division.

Abrol brings with him over 25 years of leadership experience, including nearly a decade as a CEO, with exposure across FMCG, stationery, and electricals. He began his career at ITC, where he spent 16 years in various cross-functional leadership roles and played a key role in building and scaling FMCG businesses.

He later held senior leadership positions, including Business Head and CEO, at organisations such as Pidilite Industries Ltd and RR Kabel Ltd, overseeing end-to-end operations across multiple business verticals.
