Asia’s $78 Billion AI and Quantum Inflection Point Draws Global Tech Leaders to Singapore
Technological tides shaping the next era
of artificial intelligence and quantum computing are increasingly gathering
force in Asia. Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are home to the world’s
largest data centre clusters, projected to account for 40% of the global data
capacity by 20301 – forming one of the most formidable
backbones for next-generation AI infrastructures anywhere in the world.
At the same time, artificial
intelligence investment across Asia-Pacific is moving at extraordinary
velocity. Regional AI spending is set to reach US$78 billion by 2026 as per IDC,
signalling a decisive shift by enterprises and governments towards deploying AI
across critical economic sectors, from healthcare and financial systems to
public services.
This convergence of capital,
infrastructure and innovation reaches a defining moment next month as GITEX
AI ASIA convenes global technology leaders from over 110 countries at
Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, from 9-10 April 2026. Presented by GITEX, the
world’s largest tech and AI events network, GITEX AI ASIA brings
together over 550 enterprises and startups, 250 global investors managing
US$350 billion in funds, and 175-plus speakers, reinforcing Singapore’s
position as a high-impact gateway linking Asia’s advancing innovation
ecosystems with global capital and markets.
