Boeing Appoints Shashank Jha As India CIO And Tech Head
Boeing has appointed Shashank Jha as Chief Information
Officer (CIO) and Head of Digital Technology for its India operations. Jha will
also serve as the India site leader for Information Digital Technology &
Security (IDT&S), spearheading strategy, operations and innovation from
Boeing’s Bengaluru base.
Jha takes charge of Boeing India’s IDT&S team comprising
nearly 1,500 professionals, tasked with driving digital transformation, product
lifecycle management (PLM), and engineering support. He is also set to oversee
commercial PLM products globally, a critical area for Boeing’s engineering
backbone.
With over 20 years of experience across global conglomerates like GE, Bosch, Honeywell, and Dover, Jha brings deep expertise in engineering systems, enterprise IT, and digital ecosystems. His track record spans enterprise platforms, cybersecurity, and engineering tools—skills that align with Boeing’s need to scale high-performance digital capabilities across its operations.
Lucia Chung, Vice President of IDT&S and CIO for
Engineering & Product Support, welcomed the appointment: “Shashank’s vast
experience in digital transformation and mobility will be instrumental in
advancing our digital strategies in India and beyond.”
Prior to Boeing, Jha was heading Dover India’s Global
Capability Center, managing IT functions for India and China. His leadership at
Boeing is expected to reinforce the aerospace giant’s growing engineering and
digital footprint in India—a market that has become increasingly vital to its
global operations.
Commenting on his new role, Jha said: “India is integral to Boeing’s global digital and engineering strategy. I’m excited to collaborate with the dynamic teams here to build scalable, future-ready platforms and help accelerate Boeing’s innovation roadmap.”
