NetApp and Parikrma Humanity Foundation Drive Climate Innovation at Parikrma Innovations Conclave
NetApp, has further
cemented its partnership with the Parikrma
Humanity Foundation through the
third edition of the Parikrma Innovations Conclave. This unique event,
specifically designed to foster sustainable solutions to climate change, served
as an incubator for young minds to innovate and present their ideas. With
participation from 27 schools, the conclave was a melting pot of creativity and
innovation.
The themes of the conclave were a clarion call for harnessing creative and innovative ideas to impact climate change. The winning presentations came from three diverse educational institutes: Inventure Academy, the Parikrma Centre for Learning, and the Government Urdu Higher Primary School. These institutions, each with their unique background and demographic, showcased that the fight against climate change is inclusive and collective.
NetApp's involvement extends beyond the conclave into the realm
of data science education. The company's Data Explorers Program encourages underrepresented
youth to develop critical data science skills. The program's ultimate goal is
to empower these young minds to use data for social impact. To date, over 1000
students in India have participated in this transformative initiative.
The
conclave witnessed discussions and attendance by over 200 individuals. The
participants included students, educators, and prominent leaders like Prof. Balaram P,
a retired director from IISC. The event underscored the importance of
collaborative efforts in education and innovation to empower future change
agents in the fight against climate change.
