Asus Unveils Fragrance Mouse MD101, Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 Colours

Asus has introduced a new computer accessory, the Fragrance Mouse MD101, alongside two new colour variants of its Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 in India. The Fragrance Mouse is being positioned as a sensory-oriented device, offering not just input functionality but also ambient fragrance via an integrated scent chamber. The keyboard, meanwhile, now comes in ‘Rose Clay’ and ‘Iridescent White’ options, expanding the product’s aesthetic appeal The MD101 mouse is equipped with a refillable vial designed to emit a subtle aroma during use. Asus has collaborated with Eze Perfume, an Indian fragrance brand, to create a scent exclusive to this product. The fragrance features a layered profile, starting with peach, wormwood, and freesia; followed by rose, sandalwood, and iris; and settling into notes of musk, vanilla, and amber. Each unit of the MD101 includes two vials of this proprietary scent, and the fragrance chamber itself is removable and cleanable, enabling users to customise or replace the aroma.

In terms of technical specifications, the Fragrance Mouse MD101 supports dual-mode wireless connectivity through Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz RF. It features PTFE feet for smoother movement, adjustable DPI settings (1200, 1600, and 2400), and weighs approximately 66g without the battery and fragrance. The mouse runs on a single AA battery and is compatible with Windows 10 or later, macOS, and ChromeOS. It is available in Iridescent White and Rose Clay, and is priced at Rs 1,999.

The Marshmallow Keyboard KW100 has also received an update, now offered in Rose Clay and Iridescent White in addition to the earlier Oat Milk and Green Tea Latte variants. The keyboard features a slim, compact 75 per cent layout with 84 keys, scissor switches, and a silent foam layer that reduces keypress noise to under 50 dB. It includes a 2-level adjustable kickstand for better ergonomics and a new Copilot key. The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and can pair with up to three devices.

The keyboard runs on two AAA batteries and is designed to operate for up to a year under light daily use. It is compatible with a wide range of operating systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, iPadOS, and ChromeOS.
